Capital City Care was selected as the first place winner in the inaugural “Best Marijuana Cultivation Supplier 2016” category in the “Best of DC” issue of the Washington City Paper.
The announcement came Thursday, April 7 when the publication hit newsstands.
“This recognition of the extreme value of our medical marijuana products and the top-notch customer service Capital City Care provides came as a very pleasant surprise. It is truly a great honor as we’ve strived so very hard over the last three years to bring quality care to our patients,” said David Guard, general manager.
Now in its third year of operation, Capital City Care opened July 29, 2013 and offers a wide variety of medical marijuana products and accessories at the dispensary located at 1334 North Capitol St. NW to an ever-growing number of patients. The facility was recently named one of the nation’s top 11 best-designed dispensaries by marijuana industry website MerryJane.com.
DC residents are eligible to receive medical marijuana for any health condition with physician approval. “I love the fact that the employees are very approachable and knowledgeable about their products,” said Muriyd Muhammad, who has been a patient for over a year. “They took the time to understand my needs and provided the best method to treating those needs. Big kudos to Capitol City Care for providing exceptional service and alternative medicine to patients in need.”
The “Best of DC” issue features nominations by readers and staff picks in 300 categories, ranging from “Best Restaurant When Someone Else Pays” to “Best Go-Go Band.” The first “Best of DC” issue hit the newsstands in the mid-1980s, and was brought back as an annual feature in 2008.
