If you live in D.C. and need marijuana for medical reasons, you are eligible to sign up. But how do you show D.C. residency? There are several options available to you for proving D.C. residency in order to receive your medical marijuana card. If you have any two of the following items in your name, you’ll be good to go:
- Proof of payment of D.C. income tax for the most recent tax period
- Property deed for a D.C. residence
- A valid unexpired lease or rental agreement for a D.C. address
- A recent pay stub showing withholding of D.C. income tax
- A D.C. voter registration card
- Documentation of financial assistance from the District Government, such as Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, and others
- A current D.C. motor vehicle registration
- A valid unexpired D.C. ID
- Recent utility bills for power, water, gas, or cable
